W artykule podjęto zagadnienie wpływu cyfryzacji na regionalne nierówności dochodowe w regionach europejskich NUTS 2 w latach 2006–2021. W badaniu przeanalizowano zjawisko cyfryzacji w kontekście wybranych charakterystyk regionalnych, takich jak aktywność zawodowa oraz poziom wykształcenia, które mogą pośrednio sprzyjać wyrównywaniu szans dochodowych bądź prowadzić do pogłębiania się nierówności. Aby uchwycić te zależności, zastosowano modele regresji panelowej z efektami stałymi oraz modele wykorzystujące zmienne instrumentalne. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na nieliniową relację między cyfryzacją a nierównościami dochodowymi – początkowy wzrost poziomu cyfryzacji wiąże się z narastaniem nierówności dochodowych na skutek efektów premiujących osoby o wysokich kwalifikacjach, jednak przy wyższych poziomach cyfryzacji zależność ta ulega odwróceniu. Zaobserwowano również, że wpływ cyfryzacji na nierówności dochodowe jest relatywnie silniejszy w regionach charakteryzujących się większym udziałem osób z wyższym wykształceniem oraz bardziej aktywną siłą roboczą.
